We kick started the initiative from Kisoko High School in Tororo and have successfully conducted three outreaches in 2018, 2019 and 2020. We have engaged 120 girls, parents, students, teachers and the area leaders. We have managed to engage with the boys and have carried out research and also engage the other parties in a conversation regarding their roles in the Girl Child menstrual well being. The outreaches have been school and community centered especially during covid when the schools were closed. We have also successfully set up our Girls School Club of 40 ambassadors of Girls Alive Uganda who continue to be supported by the Senior woman teacher of the school.
